Ok so here is my soda story follow up! So I took my friends (Thanks EP) advise and decided to look up on the internet about how bad soda is for you. Which is something I never done before, because I really didn't want to know. Do YOU know how bad it is for you?! Because I didn't!
I just thought that all the sugar was bad, but other than that I knew nothing. I found out that there is a chemical that causes cancer in the brown cola drinks! Why am I putting this in my body? Miss Grass Fed Beef, Miss Organic foods, Miss Paleo?! Gross! Oh and of course it causes belly fat. In the past I heard that it accounted for 15 lbs of weight gain a year. Being that I wasn't 15 lbs. over weight I never really took this too serious. I assumed it was for the Thirst Buster drinker.
I read this short article (with 10 facts about soda drinkers) one fact being that researchers saw a dramatic fat increase to soda drinkers liver and skeletal muscles and other organs! There are several other unwanted side effects, accelerated aging, high cholesterol and high sugar level. So I am convinced that I will not be returning to my soda a day habit anytime soon. I'm pretty sure it will be a battle and it looks like I'm on the hunt for a alternative drink. Ideas? Water is a huge part of my diet but occasionally I'd like something different... Hmm, I haven't heard anything bad about champagne.
