Day 51: bunnies
My parents got two bunnies this last week and Presley was so excited to see them. All of the grandkids wanted to name them so the bunnies have several names. Presley calls this one Cookie because he's the colors of cookies and cream ice cream. She named the other Smokey because she looks like a burnt marshmallow.
Here's the other bunny, I couldn't resist! They are just so sweet.
Day 51: Champagne Tasting
Today I went with two of my girlfriends to a champagne tasting- it was so much fun! I learned a little more about champagne and got to spend a little time with my girlfriends. Presley is still sick at home so it was a short but lovely afternoon.
Day 50: Home Sick
We had a bit of a scare this morning. Presley was still feeling ill so I decided to keep her home again so we could visit the doctor before the weekend. As I was brushing her hair, Presley faints and falls into my arms. She had fainted once before in the doctors office, he held her in his arms and flipped her legs above her head so the blood ran back into her head.
When I was helping her and trying to get her to speak to me I noticed all the color leaving her lips. I flipped her on her head as I spoke to her and asked her not to close her eyes. Thankfully she snapped out of it and I phoned the doctor. After it was decided this was common and there was nothing to worry about, I let her lay down and relax until her scheduled appointment... Penny on the other hand wanted to play.
Day 49: Work Day
She just makes my office feel cozy.
Day 48: Nursemaid
Penny usually follows me everywhere I go, a blessing and a curse. Today, Presley came home with a fever and went to bed much earlier than usual. As I was tending to Presley I noticed that Penny never left her side, I was even able to walk downstairs to the kitchen without my shadow flowing close behind.
Day 47: Sun Bathing
If you know me you may have guessed that I am not ready for the week of warm weather ahead. However, it looks as if Penny is enjoying sun bathing!
Day 46; The Wild. Truckee, CA
My friend and I were having a conversation and we talked about the calling of nature to us. For her she is called to the mountains, her mother is called to the beach. For me, the feeling is different, I am at home as much at the beach as I am the white mountain tops and calm blue lakes... I just want to be lost in the wild.
Day 45: Happy Valentine's Day
We surprised the kids and had their room filled with balloons when the woke up and a few Valentine's gifts. Then after a beautifully home cooked breakfast we had lunch on Lake Tahoe and were lucky enough to get this shot on the beach with all of us. The lighting was perfect!
Day 44: Everything is AWESOME!
We have been having the time of our lives. We have been with great friends, being active, experiencing nature and the beauty of the world around us. I will not take one day for granted!
Day 43: Minecraft
We all had another long amazing day of skiing. Tonight the kids are plugged in before another early night.
