My good friend Iris and I decided to try a different hike today.  It's not a difficult one but it's beautiful and it's on the edge of Saguaro Lake and for our half time celebration we jumped in!

Presley had a long day of testing at school and on her way to swim she asked if I could make her dessert.  Considering I only had one hour to prep I decided to grab a few fresh donuts at Fractured Prune (next to swim).  She's been working hard swimming three nights a week along with garden club, piano and Italian club.   #happycamper

Presley and Uncle Skeeter have such a fun and playful relationship.  Despite staying with us several times this year this was the first image I was able to get of the two of them!

This evening my girlfriend and I climbed Camelback Mountain before sunset and had the best view of the valley on our way down the trail...

On the way home from school today we noticed large and dark smoke clouds coming from the west.  With the current attack on Brussels I was concerned.  Presley noticed it too (unaware of Brussels attack though) and said, "we should say a little prayer to make sure everyone is safe."  WE were glad to hear no one was hurt at the recycling plant where the fire took place.  But it was an interesting site to see the setting sun. 

Day 82: Swim Club

 

Presley has just started swim club with ASU's Pitchfork Aquatics.  I am so excited for her!  She loves her coach who is actually a former ASU swimmer and one of the coaches from last year's swim camp.  Alex (coach) and Presley recognized each other right away and their bond wonderful to see.  Alex is such a great coach and Presley is so willing to do what it takes to show Alex she's working hard.
