A Session in The Trees

 

I love these little girls and I love these photos.  We had so many discussions on where to take the photos and what the back drop was going to be.  Did we want urban, rural, trees, grass or rustic dessert?  I stressed and stressed about it, and I’m so pleased with the out come.

It’s no secret I love my job, I can’t say that enough and clients like these girls are why.  During our time together I got to know each one of them and fell in love with each of them and their unique personalities.  Hopefully they will remember the session as fondly as I do.

As the sun set the light changed as did the trees, what a great session... 

 

 

 

Holly's H.S. Photos

Why is it still hot?  It's killing my creativity!  Well, maybe that's a little dramatic...  But it's not much fun photographing someone and feeling sweat drip down your back.  Sorry, is that too much information?  I guess it's a change for someone like me that has never really worked in the heat, it's hard work...  Moving on...

The session yesterday was such a great success.  I tried a different location and I'm really happy with the photos we got.  Holly was so much fun to photograph!  She's a senior this year and we all chatted about her plans after high school.  Not only is she beautiful she is smart and has a great life ahead of her.  Her Mom (my aunt Diane) was with us too and helped me with my lighting, thank you.

It was fun to see the two of them together, I liked seeing mom help Holly with makeup and clothes.  And I had to laugh when they both agreed that if Diane had it her way she would want Holly with her hair in a pony tail and a smile (in the photos).  I bet Mom still wants her baby girl.  Well we did take a photo like that and she looks equally as stunning.

I have such a cool job, I love talking with kids (tweens and teens) and learning from them.  Today's photo session was with this lil' gal.  Not only is she beautiful but she is smart and I love it!  I'm always surprised on how girls learn at such a young age that it's "cute" to be dumb (thank you Paris Hilton, ugh).  When I started chatting with Brezy, she impressed me.  She was outgoing, smart and very thoughtful for a girl her age (not a teenager yet).  She is still so young and has so much going for her, I can't wait to see where her path will lead her.

The energy I get from being around young people is so powerful. It's being around them that I see they still have the feeling that the world is theirs and only great things are ahead.  It's the part of my youth that I don't want to ever let go.
